Taylor Customer Service!!!! Two big thumbs up!!!
« on: March 15, 2012, 12:24:59 PM »
Just got off the phone with John at Taylor and wanted to comment on this experience and every experience I have had with Taylor!!  IMO, Taylor Guitars has the best customer service of any company I have ever dealt with!!!  Every representative I have ever talked to has been extremely polite, very knowledgable and handled my call as efficiently as they could.  John told me he would get back to me with my answer and I wasn't off the phone 2 minutes before he had called back and thoroughly answered my question.  It's easy to see why  Taylor is such an awesome company with the level of professionalism they use with their customers!!  Makes me proud to be a member of the Taylor family!!! :)

Taylor has the best customer service I've come across. It is a shame more companies don't follow their example.

This is the common refrain, echoed by most everyone who has ever called the factory with either a question or a concern.  And even more than "polite" or "helpful," Taylor stands behind their guitars when you have actual problems.  Anyone who has had to have an issue addressed (yes, myself included) can easily attest to how the factory stepped up to solve the issue, even at times when it is not their fault and they have no obligation.  This is the model of how a company grows and succeeds: build a good moustrap, and then support it with folks who actually care about the guy who bought it.  There is no question how Taylor has become the marketing force it has become ...a clear vision, leadership by hands-on setting the standard, and perseverence to make it happen even over the hurdles.  Precious few companies understand this, but those who do get a loyal customer base that only grows.
Some folks mistake that as fanboy talk: I call it real experience. :)

Knowing all of those folks personally, it's no surprise to me that Taylor's CS Department gets the rave reviews that it does...
No one has ever been on their death-bed wishing they'd been more practical...

Steve, pass on my compliment to the customer service folks and Bob!!  They should know that the way they handle customers is GREATLY appreciated!!!   If someone wants to think this is fanboy talk, feel free to think that way about me!!  Taylor is the only brand of guitar I will play!!  I even use their picks when I play and if they sold strings, I would only play Taylor strings!!!

Or 114 in case of the sisters!   ::)

Taylor CS is top notch. Even before I had purchased a guitar they were jumping thru hoops to answer my questions and determining availability.

It's funny but I think they are having an affect on other companies as well. I have noticed that Martin seems to be coming around lately too. Maybe they are reading the handwriting on the Taylor wall.

I think it even extends down to the dealer level.  My experience at my local Taylor dealer has been exceptional and they really seem to go out of their way to help me get what I want (or what they want to sell me...LOL).

Me too, I have bought two of my Taylors from Steilberg String Instruments in Louisville, Ky and Neil has went above and beyond to accommodate me, even getting my T5-C1 reserved for me when it first started being built.  Then Gruhn guitars in Nashville worked really hard to give me a deal I was happy with for my 614ce.

Customer service always shows the true heart of a company, how they feel about their products, and their future.

Tnfiddler, you hit the nail on the head!  Taylor's CS is second to none in my opinion.  Like many others stated, I'm not just some fan boy chiming in etc.

Before I bought my GS8 this past July I did a ton of research...most of the Taylor dealers that I visited freely let me have a copy of the Wood & Steel publication.  (Not to hijack the topic, but the W&S was one of the biggest influences on my decision to go with a Taylor...and specifically the GS model.)  I even called the Taylor CS department and asked a couple of questions about the GS8 etc.

Never once did I get treated like I was stupid for not knowing about the GS line etc.  Even the Taylor dealer that I bought mine from (a great big shout out to Don and Marty at WildwoodMusic in Ohio!)  were more than helpful.

Bob Taylor and his company have really built their reputation around their friendly, helpful CS...and it shows.   Stuff like that doesn't appear overnight, but rather takes years and years.  They're a CLASS Act!

i feel Taylor stands beside their guitars, as i've experienced truly stellar
customer service even before i bought a Taylor, during the spec process,
ordering TaylorWare & speaking with a technician many times thereafter

terrific people, company, products, service, dealer network, events, publications (all) imho :)
