Between the 1-11/16" nut and the 23" scale length, it's just a little too cramped for me to justify getting one. I too would probably buy one of the mahogany versions with a 1.75" width. I also wish they had a wood veneer on the headstock, but that's just me being picky.
It would be great if they could set up their GS Mini tooling/production to offer a couple different nut widths, a couple different scale lengths, and a few different wood choices as part of a "modify a model" GS Mini program for custom orders via dealers:
Nut width -- 1-11/16" or 1.75"
Scale length -- 23.5" or 24.5"
Headstock veneer -- synthetic or wood veneer (rosewood or ebony at upcharge)
Top wood (solid) -- spruce, cedar, mahogany, koa (upcharge for koa top)
Back/sides wood (laminate) -- sapele (paired with spruce, cedar, or mahogany), rosewood (paired with spruce or cedar), koa (paired with spruce or koa)
Electronics -- Set up for ES-Go or plain with standard end pin (I really don't like the big metal endpin it comes standard with)
Pickguard -- with or without (I think they already offer this option)
Bob also hinted at all-solid GS Minis in the future -- my guess is those would be released as part of a Spring/Fall Limited run. I wonder what the price point would be on something like that.
