Is it a short scale?
Nope.....all standard on dimensions. The only option will be the western red cedar top. I've got long arms, 6 feet tall; I figured the standard scale will be fine and will fit me ok. I played a 512ce and it sat real well with my ergonomics.
I need to correct my earlier answer to Satsuki. Previously, I thought short scale = 12 frets, period. I've subsequently learned that the standard neck on the Grand Concerts IS a short scale although it is 14 frets. That's what I'm getting and it's ok with me, so yes, it will be a short scale, which is standard.
Because Taylor doesn't have much in the way of dimensional specs on the new website, or else I can't find them, I was blissfully unaware of this fact, until Ted thankfully gave me the correct info.
Those of you who own or have played short scale models: what are your thoughts about the playability compared to "regular" scale?
