Wow, are we seeing a trend here? More straight up acoustics directly from Taylor? I like it!

It's a nice trend. There are other people like me who like the ES, but also like the clean look of a non-invasive pickup system and the full symmetry of a non-cutaway body. It's a thing of beauty!
My Taylor Grand Auditoriums:

1997 Cujo14 - old growth cedar/black walnut
2014 K24e - master grade koa
2018 Custom GA - bear claw sitka spruce/mahogany
2019 614 - torrified sitka spruce/flamed maple
2020 714 - lutz spruce/rosewood

Several dealers on Facebook forums have alluded to lots of news coming from Taylor in 2017 in the form of new and/or revised models, maybe tonewoods, etc. The 12X models were mentioned, but only by street price and form factor. I think there were also rumors of armrest as an option on those models, although that seems a bit "out there".

Winter NAMM is around the corner......

My custom GC is a nice compromise in the above vein -- No cutaway, ES with no controls (use a V-cable for easy volume adjustment).

i agree that a bevel on the 100 series is a bit much to expect -
there have been LTD models with armrests in the past,
albeit at a $ level a good bit higher than the 100 series

yeah, i suppose it is -
if it had a florentine cutaway,
it would be 'fully dressed' ;)
