Hi from N. Cali.
« on: August 22, 2019, 01:46:16 AM »
I hope to be a Taylor owner soon. Never thought I'd be actually. I was one of the "they're nice but sound too pretty" folks. I have come around. Now I have to decide between two. Being a major mahogany fan I thought I'd settled on a 14 fret 522 ce or possibly the 524 Auditorium. Then I played the 12 fret 522 ce. Oh my...Anyway thanks for having me. I plan on learning a lot and sharing what I can.

Welcome to the forum markob.  Another mahog fan here.
Although I have never had a GC in mahogany, I have and had several GAs.
As Taylorgirl has said, enjoy the journey.  It is fun.
Let us know what you end up with.

BTW, I have the 12 string version....562ce, 12 fret GC...sweet! I think the 522 12 fret would be real nice!

Thanks for the warm welcome folks. Yes TaylorGirl the 12 fret 522 will be my choice. Went back to the shop and spent my whole lunch hour playing one and that pretty much convinced me. Sound and vision :)
