Hello to all on this Forum!
I recently picked up a 6-month old GS Mini-e Koa (2018 model) in January. Was so lucky to find it locally in absolute mint condition for about half the new price. I love, love love this guitar!!!. I try to practice at least an hour every day. This is, by far, the best acoustic guitar I have ever owned. When I first started playing in the early 1970's, I had several low-end Asian-made acoustics. They were okay but nothing like this wonderful Taylor, my first one BTW. Many years ago I played in a blues/jazz/reggae band with a vintage 70's Gibson SG double cutaway electric. What I wouldn't give to have that guitar again!
Back to the GS Mini-e Koa. I can't walk by it and not pick it up. Great action, beautiful tone, and a work of art with a flame of woodgrain in the Koa right down the center of the top! Right after I purchased the GS Mini, I found a great deal on a 6-month old Fishman Loudbox Mini amp. The GS and Loudbox Mini's play beautiful together! I just play finger-picking style, no picks. It took me a while but I learned to play Chet Atkins'/John Loudermilk's 'Windy and Warm'. Okay I'm not quite Chet but it ain't too bad of a version

lol.
I may have one of the very few GS Mini-e Koa's with a pick-guard on top. I know it was purchased from Sweetwater originally but I'm not sure who added the pick-guard. Whoever it was, they did it perfectly and I was planning to add one to protect the Koa top from my fingernails anyway so I guess it was kismet.
