Hello from bonny Scotland!
« on: June 19, 2019, 03:43:12 PM »
Hello,

I've recently become the proud owner of my dream guitar and my first ever Taylor. It's a 812ce with X-bracing and I got it for an absolute STEAL! My goodness, it was like night and day after my little Yamaha :-*
I love it so much that I've just ordered a GS Mini Koa as well. And I blame everyone on this forum entirely for talking me into it after reading all the glowing reviews  :P ;)  I think it's true what they say....'once you go Taylor you never go back'.
Seriously though, the wealth of knowledge and information on this site is fantastic and I've sat for hours and hours reading everything to soak up as much info as possible about my latest purchases.
My GS-Mini arrives on Monday so I'm looking forward to finding out what all the fuss is about.
I might have to stop there though because I'll have a hard time justifying to my partner that I need any more guitars. For now at least  ;) He even asked if I was going to sell one of my older guitars...oh, how I laughed! (He's a drummer so he doesn't get it, bless)
I'm looking forward to being part of this amazing group and talking Taylors with you all.

Joanne x

Well Joannne, welcome indeed.  Nice to see another Lassy, or Lassie.  Not sure of your appropriate title!
But it's great to see more females join the forum. Young, old, guy, gal, all are welcomed!

Welcome Joanne,

Glad you got a great deal on an excellent guitar, your X-braced 812ce. I have a no-frills version of it, a 412e-R (the 'R' is for Rosewood), and it gets a lot of play around here. It's also the only short scale guitar I have. And the GS mini has been well received overall, so I think you are going to be in good shape with that one.

Enjoy both your new guitars, and see you around the forum.
