Body Tracing
« on: July 31, 2018, 11:51:48 AM »
Is it acceptable to ask for body tracings? If not, please delete.

I want to try and build my own acoustic guitar and I'd like to loosely base it on a Taylor Grand Auditorium. My plan is to change the cutaway slightly however, I would be extremely gracious if someone would send me a traced outline of their guitar? Any takers?

If you have the ability to project an image, it should be easy to grab a body shot from the interweb, project it onto your wall and trace it yourself at whatever magnification you want.

The cutaway on the 200 series is different (flatter) that the cutaway on the higher numbered models.
Taylors:  424-LTD (all koa) and a 114ce that lives with friends in Alaska.  Low maintenance carbon fiber guitars are my "thing" these days, but I will always keep the koa 424.  Several ukulele and bass guitars too.
