Gotoh 510's on a Taylor 12 string
« on: October 21, 2017, 07:46:12 PM »
Does anyone know if the Gotoh 510's with the screw hole at 6 o clock will fit a Taylor 656e Is there enough space between tuners?

Based on the ones I have on a couple of my Taylor 12-strings, I don't think it would fit; but judge for yourself (see attached photos of the back of the headstocks of my three Taylor 12-strings with Gotoh tuners).  As you can see, the Gotoh 510-style tuners that came from the factory have an offset screw hole, probably because of the clearance issues.

Thank you. If I use the off set screws then the old holes from the Taylor tuners will show and I don't want that, too bad. :(
