Hello all, it's been a couple years since I have been active on the UTGF, but I figured when I decided to sell my most beloved Taylor, this would be the place to find the right home/new owner for my "Honey-Orange Bombshell". I'm selling the one pictured in my avatar...

MANY more HQ pics available upon request... you've got to see this knockout to appreciate her!
SUPER RARE 30th Anniversary 2004 Taylor Jumbo acoustic/electric guitar, 615ce L-30 Limited Edition (615-CE-L30), collector/heirloom quality. Solid spruce top with solid maple back and sides in a gorgeous Honeyburst finish. S/N - 20040611114. Standard Jumbo body and neck sizes, with Expressions electronics system (AA battery version from 2004). Comes with the standard Taylor Jumbo brown hard case in great shape (the case is not in perfect condition, but very good shape with some surface scrapes/smudges, and some dust, etc). It is ALL ORIGINAL... stock nut, saddle, tuner buttons, strap pin, truss rod cover, etc (I had changed the gold buttons & pin to black, but I have changed them back). This is a complete stock original. Frets 1-4 have moderate wear/grooves from 13 years of very occasional playing. SUPER CLEAN, NEAR PERFECT.

That's what you need to know to buy this guitar, but if you're interested, here's the "story"...
This limited 30th anniversary beauty is the most amazing, gorgeous guitar I have ever seen and the most wonderful, multi-faceted, versatile sounding guitar I have ever played. I was so happy to have been given the opportunity to own it back in 2008. I am the 2nd owner and I purchased it from a fellow Taylor player who I met on the AGF. He babied this guitar and I have done the same... no scratches or damage anywhere that I am aware of, other than the 2 tiny dings mentioned above. She is in near-pristine condition just like I received it almost 9 years ago. This was the 1st Taylor I ever owned, and I have really cherished this stunning instrument. I have continuously kept this 615ce in my 45% RH (relative humidity) office, hanging on the wall just like Taylors are displayed in guitar stores (in a closed room with a large room humidifier running day/night). Denver is awesome, but totally sucks for top-of-the-line expensive solid wood guitars that must be kept at the correct RH, but I have tirelessly maintained the RH of this guitar and it shows.
One cool and unique feature about this guitar is the fact that the lighting you view the guitar in changes the appearance (color) of the wood and the Honeyburst finish more than any other guitar I have seen. The variances in the pics I have posted are real... the guitar is all of these wonderful colors depending on where it is placed in indoor or outdoor lighting. I personally think this is the single most beautiful Taylor guitar ever made, with a grain pattern on the back that is not quite flamed, not quite marbled, not quite curly, but more like an explosion of grain from the middle star outward... unlike any other maple woodgrain ever seen.
Based on all this praise, you may wonder why I am letting this stellar guitar that I love so very much go after all these years, and frankly I am too. It is with great agony that I have come to realize that this guitar is worth more to me converted into cash to be able to help buy my son his first car than it is hanging on the wall, never being played, looking like a museum piece. I have 4 other Taylors (another 615ce, a 315ce, a 214ce, and a GS Mini) so I certainly do not need to keep her just to have the Taylor feel, look or sound in my hands. This gal is the pride of my small collection, but she is the most rare and valuable, so she is the one I must let go of in order to do other responsible things in life.
NOTE: Any bubbles or "imperfections" you might see in the pics on the back or the lower front of the guitar is from a clear "bra" of static cling plastic I applied many years ago to protect the wood surfaces. I have since taken the clear plastic static bra/protectors off both the pickguard and the entire back to check for any damage/dings/defects. I am keeping the clear plastic "screen protectors" for my other 615ce so they will not come on this guitar in this sale.
