Thumbs up to Taylor support - could I expect anything otherwise?
« on: February 16, 2016, 06:26:08 PM »
I noticed on my 514ce-QS that one of the expression cable tie downs was missing on the inside (where it was shows from the sticky residue).  Easy to replace, no need for a tech repair so I called Taylor and no questions asked they sent me a set of three and some strings to replace the ones that need to be removed to give enough hand clearance to place the tie down where it belongs.

Taylor service rocks!!!!!  Its a little thing, but instead of trying to have me send a picture (I had one) or insisting it go to a service center (a hassle), they just no questions asked handled it.

Yeah, Taylor's service is so good, and consistently so, that it's almost boring in its regularity.  OK, I'll take boring :D

You know, I've personally seen this on three ES-equipped guitars built by Taylor in the past 6 months or so:  the Custom GO I bought last September; a 'legacy' 610ce I was sampling a week or two ago; and one of the new 510e's at Willcutt's "New for 2016/Find Your Fit" event over the weekend.  In the previous two cases, the dealer simply took care of it on the spot.

I wonder if Taylor had gotten a bad batch of those little wiring anchors...?

I agree with you. I also had an issue with a new Taylor. Mine had to be sent back for service. Everything was perfect upon return. Very professional. They are top notch.

That's really cool, particularly sending you the replacement strings!
