Checking in all the way from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
« on: April 13, 2015, 10:00:34 AM »
Hi guys and gals
In 1992 I decided I would like to play guitar so I bought a Jasmine by Takamine.
Its an s49, all mahogany and at the time I thought I was going to be the next Mark Knopfler, Chet Atkins or whoever, well that didn't happen.
I picked at it ;D on and off over the years without making much progress. Then about 2 years ago I went at it with a little more maturity and a lot more discipline, needless to say I actually made some progress.
That cheap little guitar has a really straight neck still and is very easy to play, it's also very sweet sounding to me, very nice tone but not a lot of bass and not much volume. I noticed a few months back that the sound board had started to lift at the bridge and I didn't think it was worth fixing so enters my new, yes "new" as in never sold GA8 with warranty ;D holy crap this guitar sounds amazing and is just as easy to play as my Jasmine. I paid $xx here in Canada and thought it was an amazing deal.
This purchase of course led me to you folks and that's my story. :)
