Yes I was one who bought a new  Dave Matthews 914 ,  in 4-2010  From a Greenwood  IN.  Guitars Works, The timing was right so I special ordered mine without any electronics , witout a neck strap button , with a wide grained sitka top and dark East Indian Rosewood.
Well Its back after I sold it 2 1/2 years ago To forum member TAYLORFAN50  I have reaquired it. Thank You so much TAYLORFAN50
The 914c  is ..... The Best Taylor x14 I've ever had or heard. The tone is to kill, with it Sitka CV braced Sitka.

  Any other GRUX owners here?

That is so awesome that you were able to reacquire the one that got away.  I had an early 2000's 614ce (fishman barn door) I wouldn't mind seeing again!

November 2013 Taylor 514ce ES2
November 2011 Taylor GS Mini Mahogany

Hmmm...mine is not the DM Grux sig model but a 2012 914.  I believe the general specs are the same and YES I love it to pieces.

Loved your story as I'm on the verge of reacquiring a Taylor that I foolishly sold...
