Hello to the community.
« on: May 13, 2014, 06:14:28 AM »
My name is Walter, I'm from Italy and I am very pleased to join this community.
Currently I play the acoustic guitar in a 3 pieces acoustic pop cover band.
A couple months ago I decided to upgrade my acoustic rig, so I sold my Seagull and bought a slightly used 312CE.
Even though I recognize the overall quality of this instrument, I still have some trouble in getting the right sound out of the rig (guitar - mixer - amp) and a decent volume.
But I will write a post in the proper section, of course after an accurate search in the published topics.
Regards

Thank you so much for your welcome message.
Actually, I am experiencing some issues with my Taylor's sound, and I hope I can find the solution in this enthusiasts' community.

Welcome Walter.  I am certain that you will get good information on your 312ce.

Hi Walter. Welcome to the UTGF. I spent some time in northern Italy. What a beautiful country. I love Italian spruce, but hate the grappa. ;) Enjoy.

Did you come to Italy for business or leisure, if I may ask?
Grappa is a liquor for very strong men :-) I never drink it. It's very popular in the North-East of Italy, specially among military personnel deployed in the Alps.

I was never offered Grappa when I visited Italy.  Maybe I should be happy for that.  I think the Giro d"Italia has started over there.  Seems odd to start the tour of Italy in Ireland. :o like they did this year.  Do you follow the tour?

Actually I'm more in mountain bike stuff (which is not the most appropriate sport if you want to take care of your fingers) so I ain't a bif fan of that competition, but I recognize its historical value and admire many rider. Yep, it started in Ireland :-)

I live 5 minutes from some excellent mountain bike trails.  I like going up after work and getting a few miles after work.
