Yes, they are different songs.  I don't know how the lyrics for ELO's "Dead End Street" went (perhaps nobody but Jeff Lynne does now), but apparently the the musical tune was the same as "Sweet Talkin' Woman."  I had hoped that a previously-unreleased copy of "Dead End Street" would surface as a bonus track on the remastered Out Of The Blue album, but not so... :(
