The 2008 Fall Limiteds are still my all time favorite Taylor Series.. and yours is a beautiful and unique looking piece of wood for sure..
I think the combination of everything on those was just perfect..
I have the GS and GA in Coco from that series too, and am always looking for a nice GC to complete the "holy trilogy"..lol.

Thank you for the kind words, yes Taylor used a nice piece on this one. In case you are interested, I got it back then from Jim at Guitar Rodeo. Jim usually had a rather large selection to choose from, and great prices to match. I did tell Jim that if at all possible i didn't want sapwood on the cocobolo, and i wanted quartersawn sides...he was kind enough to make sure I got a piece like that.

There are some days this coco set reminds me of brazillian. It is actually a tad darker in real life as compared to the photos

The truss rod cover was from Capt Bill, we all know he does great work!

Agreed that the 08' Fall Ltds are nice. They were especially great to look forward too as they were the first guitars to feature the adirondack bracing too.

I've owned a few Taylors in the past including a 610SPEC, 615c, 310ce, many BBT's and a Baby M.  Currently on my second GS Mini and own a an 810e

810e.  One of the last of the production 810s, this one with ES and tobacco burst.  Added Gold/black Gotoh 510's.  Thanks to Ted at LA Guitar Sales for hunting this baby down for me.



My second GS Mini.  Bought the first one Christmas Eve 2010, and enjoyed it.  Ended up selling it and later regretting the decision.  So I bought another...will be dolling it up with gold mini Gotoh 510's, a colosi bone saddle, ebony/abalone pins and possible a Nichols TRC.

When will it ever stop?  All these beautiful guitars are making me want to visit the local stores.  Now that can be a good thing, or a bad thing if the wife catches me

I actually decided on and ordered the gotoh m6 style gold tuners. About half the price.  But here is a pic of the mini 510s on my previous GSmini.
