It's been a year....
« on: June 24, 2012, 01:05:57 PM »
....since my 2011 BTO  (sinker/ovangkol GA) came home. This guitar continues to amaze me. It has such a deep husky voice, but the clarity and note definition really shines through. Great accompaniment for my tenor vocals too. It's a great thing when you order a guitar based on your experience with tone woods, shapes, bracings, etc. and it all comes together to exceed your best expectations. Here's a few pics:

My Taylor Grand Auditoriums:

1997 Cujo14 - old growth cedar/black walnut
2014 K24e - master grade koa
2018 Custom GA - bear claw sitka spruce/mahogany
2019 614 - torrified sitka spruce/flamed maple
2020 714 - lutz spruce/rosewood

Really happy for ya! And I congratulate you on the milestone. With the amount of guitar talk on the forums it is a real achievement to hang in there with your choices (GAS and all). But I guess I'm not surprised. That is a one fine specimen you got there!

Congrats again. Play on ....

This guitar is definitely striking in its looks, and I imagine its sound is just as awesome! Happy Anniversary! :D

Sadly (or fortunately, depending on your perspective), yes! My goal is to have 7 Taylor GAs, one for each day of the week. So I'll need to obtain 2 more. I'm considering either an engelmann/rosewood or a cedar/cocobolo. Stay tuned....
