Who has a Taylor with an Adirondack top?

If you have one, what are your thoughts/impressions? My Adi/Ovangkol BTO should be here in a couple of weeks and I thought it would be interesting to see who else has a Taylor with an adirondack top. It would be great to see some pics too. From what I have heard, adi tops can vary quite a bit. I have no idea what mine will look like, but I don't really have a preference. I asked for a lighter color if possible but I like the tops with some darker striping too. So let's see what you got. Sound samples are always nice too.

Here's mine. A 710 L-9. Adirondack/Brazillian. This guitar is a cannon. Great tone all the way w/clear deep bass that rattles the cups in the cabinet. Great sustain and the harmonics sometimes mess me up. I'll stop in the middle of a break to just listen to them.



Low action also.

I use D'Addario EXP19s on it.

I don't own a adi top guitar but have played a adi/rosewood, and it sounded great.
S MS Picker has a beautiful Adirondack/Brazillian.  By the way Picker your work bench looks like mine.

I have a GA BTO with a rosewood back and an adi top with adi cv bracing.

It's a sunburst and it looks great and rings lie a bell

I have a Bto Dread Premium Adirondack top with Rosewood back and sides.  Best guitar I have owned in a long time.

I almost got a GS, but I can't remember ever playing that body style and there's nowhere close by to try them. I know I love the feel of the GA so that's what I went with. Thanks for sharing about your Adi/rosewood guitars. Got any pics?

also known as bluegrass gauge or light-mediums (elixir)

That is correct.  Adi is much springier (is that a word) than the others and booms much more.  It also takes a long time to "break in".  As the Taylor rep said about an adi topped guitar, "your grand children will have a great guitar"
