Well she has had her Mini for almost a week now. Her thumb is better and she was able to spend an hour on Saturday night and again last night trying it out. Right now I am outside of her lesson room and the instructor has commented twice on how much she has improved. I cant help but believe the size is a major factor. I picked her Fender acoustic up from the tech that works on our guitars tonight so I am anxious to see how she does with that. He lowered the action and put custom lights on it. She is thinking about lights on the Mini and after she plays the Fender she will decide.

I know you are hoping she prefers the Fender so you can have the Mini.

You might want to reconsider that, the mediums are needed for sound quility from what I have been told.

A mahogany Mini would be nice but I think we are done for a while. Im actually looking to sell my Strat because the electric just doesn't speak to me. We bought our first guitars, Fender DG-8s, around the first of the year and we are already up to 5. Time to focus more on the learning which has certainly progressed better than I had expected after the first few lessons. I am sure this feeling will pass but for now I (we) are happy to have found guitars we enjoy to play. Now that its warming up we can sit by the pond and watch the koi and frogs while we practice. The Fenders will be nice for that and campfires. I did play her Fender and he did a great job on it so I may have to have mine done as well.
