Yeah - "honest and understanding" because the guy who thought he ordered a 914ce, only to open the box and behold a lowly (but still nice) 214ce would immediately send it back and expect a quick fix - but what is the obligation to do so for the guy on the other end of that deal, since it was technically the dealer's error? I think the dealer had no choice but to handle it the way it did.
I can understand how that can happen. Earlier this year, I was in my local shop because I wanted to try the 416ce fall ltd, and I had seen on their website that they still had two in inventory. Looking around the shop I couldn't find one, so I asked the dealer and he went into the storeroom to pull it out. Came back and said there weren't any. Really? There are still two on your website? Hmmm?
He checked his inventory computer, and yup - still had two. Went back again to find one and brought it out. With a little label that had all the details for the 416ce 2011 fall limited. Right under a big label that said "GS7". Go figure.
