I was in San Diego last year but never made it to El Cajon CA.  I kick myself often over that, and this thread didn't help at all. :'(

I've probably been on the tour five times or so. I really appreciate how open Taylor is to sharing what's going on. If you have a sharp eye you can often get a hint of what's coming up. For example, this photo was from August 2008. Recognize these?

I remember Steve tagging along with our group one day right after he started at Taylor, too...

Believe it or don't, the last time I was out in El Cajon was a particularly stressful meeting on BT's 50th birthday in March of 2004.

Hehehehehe... I remember lunch that day, and the dive bar, which was NOT enjoyed by all, that night!

I've got a freq. flyer miles ticket that I need to burn before the end of the year, and I'm thinking San Diego may just be the place to go...

Dude...

Hehehe, yes indeed.  For the record, I had a blast that weekend.

I'll keep you in the loop on the return trip.  Probably won't be until Fall timeframe unless something comes up that requires a trip west sooner...

Took the tour in fall of 2009. Really enjoyed it. I'd love to sneak down for another visit next time we're visiting my wife's family in southern California.

A stop at El Indio for lunch after the tour would make for a pretty awesome day.

Went buy there years ago on a Sunday (we were passing thru that day heading north).  Locked up like a drum.  Took a picture of myself outside the place.

I used to have a friend working there and thought I could someday get the VIP treatment if I showed up there.  Oh well.  ;) ;D

I took the tour a couple years ago and loved it!  Steve went along with me through the tour and answered my questions - made me feel like a VIP - thanks, Steve!  Gonna miss you being there, you were such a big help many times!

It's worth the trip out west to take the tour, out-of-town folks!  :)

Steve?  Never heard of the guy.   ;)

I do hope to make it down for the tour within the next year or so.
