While as expected, all of the offerings are gorgeous - I'm a little irked  >:( in that new Mini's are just $100 different than the originals.  I do love my Sapele Mini....but......for $100 and a few months I could have had some different choices.... :-\  just sayin'

You think they should've priced them higher?

i'm guessing that they may not have  to be sold at that price & there's a possibility
that adjusted market value could come into play, perhaps not to the degree of the
baby Liberty Tree but when the bubinga, koa, maple & rosewood babies were available,
they were regular production (non-LTD) models & there was only a minimal upcharge

i really like my sapele mini too, but to my ear the mahogany top is incredible -
i don't believe all minis are created equal tonally (from the examples i've played) & if i were looking
at the LTDs, unless i didn't already have one (or 2), i would want to play it first to know how it sounds

based on the mahogany top model, i am really hoping that engelmann & cedar top minis
will be offered at some point on a LTD & sapele back & sides would be just fine, imho :)
it's not about what you play,
it's all about why you play ...

Hmm, a cedar topped mini would be very nice. BTW, just came back from my local Taylor dealership and they tell me Taylor sold out of the minis.

I guess that is why they call them limiteds.
Sure would like to hear what they all sound like in my hands.

Not so fast Steve, Taylor might have sold out but your local dealer hasn't even received them yet.  ;)

Does anybody have a inkling as to how the blackwood mini will sound in comparison to the others.  I have never heard a blackwood guitar before.  Thinking of ordering a GS Mini in blackwood or rosewood.
