Hello from Roanoke Rapids, NC!
« on: April 07, 2025, 09:25:41 AM »
Hi everyone!

I'm a bit sheepish to admit that, while I've been a member for a while, I never introduced myself (nor have I even posted before, as far as I can tell). I probably joined when I was researching a potential purchase and then, when I finally bought a Taylor, neglected to return to thank the forum for its help.

So, yes, I purchased a used, 2016 Taylor 416ce-R Grand Symphony a year ago to celebrate my retirement - Sitka spruce on rosewood, with the ES2 system. I love its deep bass response - its a joy to play and is certainly the prettiest instrument in my limited collection. I currently have it strung with D'Addario XS Hybrid Lights 13-53, which I believe is what Taylor now uses on its GSes instead of the original Elixir HDs. I've tried other strings, but these really seem to match the guitar well!

Since, at least on other forums, the tradition is "it hasn't happened unless there are photos," here you go:

Now that I'm a Taylor owner, I plan to be here more frequently! See you around!
