Taylor 414ce
« on: August 13, 2021, 05:25:59 PM »
I am ready to buy a Taylor 414ce V class rosewood . I was ready to make the purchase when I notice that there is also a Taylor 414ce V Class special edition, in Shade top or natural top. All three guitars sound the same feel, the same, and cost the same.
What is the difference between the 414ce V class rosewood and the 414ce special edition rosewood?
What is the benefit to having the special edition?

I just got the shaded edge burst Special Edition.  Features that are special to this model are:

Shaded edge burst, Full gloss body, Rosewood back and sides, Abalone rosette, Gold hardware,"Engraved Victorian" fretboard inlays with matching peghead inlay, grained ivoroid bindng.

Mine is a glorious guitar.  I have a few to test it up against.  It really is quite remarkable.  And, with all the special features, it is quite beautiful.

I just ordered a 414ce Rosewood Special edition with a natural (not shaded top). It has the same specs as the reg 414ce rosewood that is not special edition. I should have it next Wednesday.
