Oh man, I am SOOOO fortunate to have found, finally, the perfect teacher for me! He's Steven King, and for about a decade he traveled the country putting on clinics for Taylor guitars. He was national fingerstyle champion a couple of decades ago. Here are a few clips (some of them playing Taylor guitars!):

And more recently (playing his new Rainsong):

This guy is AMAZING! As a player, as a composer, as a teacher. Like I said, I am sooooo fortunate. Steven is my 4th teacher in about 5 years. I haven't progressed as much as I'd hoped, primarily because I wasn't motivated. Well, Steven motivates me. :)

I love hearing his stories about his days with Taylor guitars, about Bob Taylor in particular. Steven says Bob is a good guy. I believe it. So are his guitars! (I have a Holden Village GS Mini, lefty, and my first guitar was a Taylor Baby...which still lives on as my practice guitar at work.)

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the videos. If you are a fingerstyle player, Steven has a whole website through which you can access tabs of hundreds of his arrangements, I believe.
Holden Village GS Mini
Wechter Traditional
Alvarez AP70
Seagull S6
Teton STS105NT
Taylor Baby

All lefties!

Any teacher that motivates you is great. There is so much satisfaction when you make progress. Enjoy.
Also, got like a Taylor guy with a Rainsong, just saying😀
