Taylor is my "lazy" guitar. I have a 714CE. I have other guitars that sound different plugged, miced, or mixed. Unless I am in a situation where I am going to be judged (harshly) by other guitar players, I will just take the Taylor rather than lugging 4 guitars to a gig. It does the lot to a great standard and it is smallish and does not weigh a lot.

Just got word that LA Guitar Sales got my 914. It's on its way to me. Didn't expect it until 2017. A pleasant surprise.

About that " No c and No e - Basic Form" thing, michaelw suggested 'straight up' as nomenclature and I would like to second that nickname. All my acoustic guitars would qualify for no 'c', and 3 of them qualify as 'straight up'.

Besides, I'd like to believe that Paula Abdul has at least one that qualifies.  ::)

Mine came from LA to the UK, how painful do you think that was?

Straight Up......I like that. Almost sounds like I'm ordering a drink.  :o ...
i went & looked for the definition of 'straight up' & it's chilled (no rocks/ice) -
'neat' is no mixer or ice, but shots are ordered chilled, rather than 'straight up'

when i was back east, manual transmissions were 'straight drives',
pens 'ink pens', garden hoses 'hose pipes' & extension cords 'drop cords'

still, 'straight up' sounds good to me -
i would call this one 'fully dressed' ;)

Well that's perfect, Michael, since it's coming to chilly northern Michigan. Straight Up it is!
Thanks.
