Seriously, I didn't think of that. I bet someone will be me to it. I'll have to wait 6-8 weeks.

So you're ordering one? Might have a surprise option?  8)

Probably not. I love its 2015 design and voice. I just want the purely acoustic build. That's why I have to order it.

A full-bodied 914 with no electronics - boy, does that sound nice. However, I can't resist the temptation to implore Taylor to produce more off-the-shelf full-bodied (no cutaway) models without electronics. We buyers are out here, ready to purchase, and don't think we should have to special order your amazing guitars as pure acoustics.....

Ah, should have put 2 and 2 together.

Well, while you're pondering what's to come and you gotta order, keep in mind they have a Brazilian option. Just saying....  8)

Yes, I see that as an option. I think the EIR will be all I need. It's beautiful though.

To answer the original question:  I'm a fan of the "c" but find that I really don't use the "e".  Too bad Taylor doesn't seem to offer just the "c" option on their standard lines; one either gets 'basic' (as we seem to be calling it), or "e", or "ce"... :-\

Ah, I recognize that guitar...!  That's not just Brazilian; that's the "Milagro" 914ce that Willcutt's has.  Can't go wrong with "Milagro," Susie...! (But you could go broke...! ;))

i agree with you, susie -
i've played several brazilian models, including a pre war
D28 & owned an adi/brazilian 810 for a bit, which was 'ok'

i'm curious to see how a 814ce DLX
compares to a 714ce with adi bracing -
if i were on the hunt, i'd probably go with the
714, once i find time to find one to test drive,
but i'm impressed with specs on the 800 DLXs
it's not about what you play,
it's all about why you play ...

I've always heard that, and thought I'd give them a call this time. I've had real good experiences from other Taylor dealers too. This time, I was glad I gave them a call. Yes, they were great to deal with.
