Just got the tracking number (I got it late, b/c they had incorrectly typed my email address). Instead of being here tomorrow by 11:00, it's on the truck NOW for delivery. I'm getting it today! Overnight shipping, even though it was supposed to be 2nd Day. Cool. Holy cow!!

Happy Birthday ! ! !

Just got done playing my first Taylor. A 2005 Fall Lmt, all Koa, 324-CE-E10.
The original owner played this a ton yet it has little fret wear.
BTW: I am guessing he was a good player because the cowboy chord first three frets - fret wear - is non existent.
For a Koa it is really opened up and I can play a pick with it and not worry about scratches. I also have a Sitka/Koa Goodall that I have to play differently.

Love the tone. It is a nice balance of warm and chimey. I have tried Taylors at shops and only 20% sound great. Now I know to get the ones that have warm bass and then have fun with the greatest design cutaway, at least for my liking. Talk about easy to play, the neck and cutaway, I now know why everyone loves Taylor. The Playability is HUGE. I can change chords smoothly up and down the neck. This guitar has so much tone I am getting away with martin nickel strings that are super easy to move (lower tension) at 25.5" scale. Martin Retro's.

I'm a bit late, but a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you...
A Taylor guitar as a birthday present..? Not bad !!
At the Taylor Road Show I heard a lot of different guitars, and the Koa one turned out to be my favourite... Seems like a really fine wood...Congrats.
Bernie.

It's been a few months since I've been on here.  Something made me sign on today... I think it was the opportunity to wish you a belated happy birthday and congratulations on a glorious New Guitar Day!  That koa looks gorgeous, and will, no doubt, sound as rich as it looks.

Enjoy!

Best wishes,
Jim
