POLL : is there any interest in any of these ?
« on: October 20, 2014, 07:44:41 PM »
with the availability of the koa top mini-e & the sunburst 110/114e LTD models,
i was wondering if any of these possibilities might raise an eyebrow ???

personally, i like the silhouette of the non-cutaway 100/200 models, but the
cutaways may be what's more popular with the other 99.9993 % of the market ;)

no insight of what might be coming up -
just thinking out loud ...

your thoughts :-\
it's not about what you play,
it's all about why you play ...

A 212 series would be interesting.

'other' could be just about anything -
110e baritone, 116e, 216e, 156e, 12 fret 212eDLX ..
i just figured those examples might have been the more feasible/realistic ones,
in terms of a second guitar for alternate tunings or another flavor, rather than
a 300+ series investment, although the value-per-$ on the 324/6ceFLTD-Ks are :o , imho

i'll let someone else put up a donut poll in the lounge ;)

BBT = Big Baby Taylor

Given the success of the GS Mini, it would not surprise me to find the Baby and Big Baby turn into a special order item at some point, or even slip from regular production entirely.  I have no idea what their sales have been since the Mini came along.  The GS Mini seems to be a better sounding instrument that also fills the inexpensive second guitar / travel guitar niche.  The Baby still has a lower cost and is small enough to be started guitar for kids.

mmmmmmmmmm......donuts!
Taylors:  424-LTD (all koa) and a 114ce that lives with friends in Alaska.  Low maintenance carbon fiber guitars are my "thing" these days, but I will always keep the koa 424.  Several ukulele and bass guitars too.
*Gone but not forgotten:  a 2001 414ce, 410, 354-LTD twelve string, 314-N, 416-LTD baritone, T5 Classic, 615ce, 2006 GS-K, 1996 (first year) Baby
