someone handed you a blank check, that was good of course & you could select any model of Taylor, which one would it be ?

I LOVE the sound of the 3 and 4 series so I chose the 3. Then I'd bank the rest of the money! ;)

a PS series with premium adi top, quilted sapele, Cindy inlay (the noveau is a bit "much", imho),
adi AP bracing, flamed mahogany neck, edgeburst back sides & neck, honeyburst top, marbled
ebony fretboard & bridge, gotohs, bone nut & saddle, flamed koa binding & ES2 would be 8)

but a 300LTD gloss body with ES2 & 500 series style rosette would be pretty sweet also -
the amount of the check is enough to cover the guitar, a first class roundtrip to el cajon, selection of woods &
appointments, 5 star accommodations, limo service & a private concert with the Taylor playng artist of one's choice

theoretical, mythical prize has no actual cash value, unlike a coupon to where 100 of them might net 1 cent ...
sorry :-\

i went with 800 as i am enthralled with the idea of the new 800 series. i've played about a dozen 814's. i've loved them all but i've yet to  own one. if the 2014's are a vast improvement, i'd love to add one to my happy little family !

I'd get the Builder's Reserve VII. I could even do without the uke and settle for just the guitar. :D

I've determined that the GA is my cup of tea, and I've love to add one of the new 814s without c or e to the family...

sinker top, walnut back
that would be a nice combo in any body shape, imho -
an absolute monster in a X18 or deep body X10, the "coziness"
of a X12 12fret, the always popular X14 & of course the X16 8)

An all koa GS 12 string with all wood bindings including soundhole and wooden fretboard inlays
with flamed koa binding, headstock overlay, backstrap, rosette & the tropical vine inlay
in koa with edgeburst finish, flamed mahogany neck,  florentine cutaway & adi bracing -
i can picture that one being on the back the cover of a future wood & steel :o

with the HP package & the lightest, most transparent tobacco sunburst top, that would
blend the nicest features of the all the gloss rosewood series models into one, imho ... sweet :D
