Welcome to the forum. I absolutely love the figuring of the EIR back! As far as new things making old things obsolete, well I'm not trading my GS8e for any of these newer models for sure. That's not to say that I wouldn't like the new 800 series. I think what the Power company has done is tremendous. I've just grown to know my guitar and she sounds better to my ears all the time. New friends are great, but old friends are irreplaceable. Strum On!!
