Congrats on the upcoming 40th anniversary!  I hear that you only get better at strumming and finger styling after you turn 40.

Thanks. But, I'm way past 40. Was 9 going on 10 when I started.

Got word that Elderly was supposed to get my guitar today. Then they have to do their thorough set-up. I did a stupid thing and moved 170 miles away in 2006, so I'll have to plan a good day to go pick it up. Still getting snow here in northern MI. Why not have it shipped, you ask.......because I never turn down a good excuse to visit Elderly, my "candy" store since 1974. Also, have to deliver a few cases of our pure maple syrup to our friends in Lansing. So, looks like one day next week I'll be flying high. :) (....and not because of the sweet maple syrup ;) )

Okay, two questions/comments:
1. Congrats on your new baby being delivered today!  Can't wait to see proud Momma pics.
2. How can we get some of your Taylorized Syrup delivered to the west coast?

2. Taylorized Maple Syrup, LOL. With the shipping costs, probably would make it way too expensive. Plus, the PO frowns on our shipping glass bottles of syrup. Sorry.  :( It's excellent stuff, though.

Well, maybe you'll just have to create a BTO that is inspired by the color of your maple syrup?  That would be a great story to read in the Wood & Steel.  Could be good for your business...just an idea.

I've spent many thousands at Elderly over the years. I probably helped put Stan Werbin's kids through college . . . if he has kids. That's going to be a fun ride to pick up your guitar. I've take rides like that. I love a nice cedar and mahogany small body.

May your guitar play and sound as smooth and sweet as the maple syrup you produce.
1993(?) 410 Special Edition (Rosewood/cut-away)
1995 412
1997 810
1998 Mahogany Baby
2000 714
2010 DN3
2013 Mini Mahogany
2014 522 12 fret
About two dozen other brands of guitars, mandolins, ukuleles, banjos and Venezuelan Cuatros, not to mention the flutes, pennywhistles and the piano.

TaylorGirl, the business is forming as we speak thanks to Fretted.  I can see it now:  "Guitar Maple Syrup...because it plays smooth and sweet."   ;D

Cool idea!  I never thought of that.  It's too late though, I can't justify another guitar.  Cedar/Hog would remind me of maple syrup too (nice golden/reddish color). I did just get a custom mountain dulcimer and the luthier did engrave a maple leaf in the headstock for me, because of our little business.

He has at least one daughter.  So, I'm sure he appreciates your business over the years.  I helped a lot too.
Thanks!

Thanks, shorty. Cynthia is a super gal. I see her and her husband frequently at dulcimer festivals. He's a national champion dulcimer player (Doug Berch) and luthier.A lot of great folks there, you are right.
