Taylor ES-Go stopped working
« on: January 02, 2013, 10:50:11 AM »
I have a GS Mini since they came out.  I bought the ES-Go shortly after, and once I installed the ground wire I was happy enough with it.   I rarely plug in, but a couple of weeks ago at church I plugged in and no sound whatsoever.  I used different cables, and plugged it into my amp at home.  Nothing.  I suppose the cable could've gotten bumped inside and stopped working, but I don't know.

Since I can't call Taylor until the 7th, is there any way whatsoever to troubleshoot this?  Is there a way to hook a multimeter to it, since it doesn't use a battery? I thought maybe the fuse blew on the ground wire, but according to Taylor's site that should have nothing to do with the sound working, just ground hum.

Your best option would be wait till Taylor factory to reopen next week and give them a call. Their customer service is very nice.
