Re-fret or not
« on: May 15, 2012, 04:40:14 PM »
Thinking of having my 716 re-fretted, anybody know what the going rate to do that is.  I know that it will be a partial re-fret, probably only 7 frets.  I am having a Taylor authorized lutherie do it for me.  He is charging about 30.00 per fret

if everything else on your 716 is the way you'd like it to be (no dings that need to be touched up, etc) &
you've either seen work or talked to someone that has had work done by the tech & were happy
with the work done, then that sounds like it would probably be a relatively economical route to go

Taylor's renew package would cover what you're wanting to have done, plus a good bit more
it's not about what you play,
it's all about why you play ...
