I would either civer the belt buck with some soft piece of material or take it off while playing. I also like the idea of roating the buck left or right to move it from the point of contact.

I have seen a lot of guys just pull their belt off to the side.

As others have said, just pull your belt off to the side. I did that for over 30 years.

Or take the belt off.

Or just live with it...
