I'm pretty sure that's the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen...at least that's what I felt looking at the photos.  Wow, tell us, what does it sound like?

This guitar has a tremendously rich sound that has clear and tight bass projection without overshadowing the typical sparkling midrange and trebles Taylor is known for. If you hold it tight (and with the armrest you can) you can feel the top 3 strings rumble in your upper body. That hasn't happened to me with very many Taylors. Fast, clean response with warm even tones and a brilliant sparkle across the entire spectrum. I have never heard Sinker Redwood before and combined with the Macassar it is really special.

Stunning!! Congrats... Please take the time to enjoy! Is there a slight edgeburst on that finish?

Indeed the build sheet did have edgeburst listed. Can see it on the front but kinda hard to tell on the back since it's so dark. Man in soft low light this looks like a Darth Vader guitar!

I'd love to hear/see it on a youtube video or even just an mp3...

But you are gonna hold back your T5. Now why would you go and do a thing like that?

that is so cool!  I've been trying my buddies "Duet" which I've really enjoyed using...only two tracks at a time though...can't wait to hear your first Zoom test with that beautiful guitar.  I, as well as everyone else who's posting, can't be happier for you.  I'm so glad to be one of the many to share in your joy!

Wow, that is magnificent! Every inch of this guitar screams class. If it sounds half as good as it looks you have a keeper for sure. Congratulations.

That is probably the most attractive BTO I've ever seen.  If I ever win the lottery or become a kept man, I want a twelve fret with the same woods and features as yours.

Congrats!
Ken
Godin A6 and A12, a RainSong Shorty on order, a pair of Tacoma CB105s
Lusting for a really special Taylor 12 fret
A few electrics, a bunch of basses

Actually it was not recorded the same way.

Thru some discussion here on UTGF I read about a recording device called the Zoom HN4. A handheld device that allows track recording (up to 4 at a time or separate if you want). I have been thinking about dabbling with recording a bit and this seemed to be an inexpensive way to start out. Setting up a home studio can be pricey.

Anyway, the recorder was delivered yesterday and I decided to give it a shot. The clip was recorded in stereo mode (not separate tracks) with the internal stereo mics on the device. I was really shocked at how easy it was to set up and the mics sound pretty darn good.

I have struggled to find folks to sing with (everybody is busy) so I figured this might be a way I can find some good harmonies with myself. We'll see!   ;D
