Here are some more shots from the Mecum auction. I can't wait for January!
2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition - sold for $412,500:

1969 Dodge Daytona - sold for $198,000

2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series (a friend of mine was behind the wheel of this one) - Did not sell at a high bid of $400,000:

1968 Shelby GT500KR Convertible - High bid was $130,000, but it didn't sell:

1934 Chrysler Airflow - sold for $30,800:

1992 Aston Martin Virage - this somewhat rare one owner car, with only 5,700 original miles, failed to sell at a high bid of $75,000:

1972 Ford Maverick - Original showroom condition, 302ci V-8. One owner, 33,00 miles. Bidding went to $11,500, but it didn't sell:

1989 Land Rover Defender 90 - My show favorite. Bidding went only to $20,000, but it didn't sell. I'd have gone to $30,000:

2019 Porsche Turbo S Exclusive Series Convertible - Bidding went to a quarter of a million dollars, but that amount fell short:

1953 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible - This car didn't sell at the high bid of $135,000:

1969 Pontiac Grand Prix - My Dad had one of these back in the 70's in British Racing Green. This one sold for $10,450:

This is the view as you pass from the staging area onto the auction floor:

Between Mecum and Barrett-Jackson, I prefer Mecum. I cover these events on assignment, and even though Barrett-Jackson has a great media room, fully stocked with food, drink, wi-fi and air conditioning, the access they afford media types like me completely sucks. Mecum doesn't have a designated media area, but I can literally go anywhere I want, hence the photos from the auction floor.
Anyway, I'm registering as a bidder for the January auction, so we'll have to see what happens!
