So after satisfying my Jones for a larger mahogany top Taylor guitar, my new AD27e, that satisfies all of my tonal requirements of a dark rich tone, large bass response, and physical comfort, of course Taylor just had to do this to me:

I love the larger body-short scale concept of these new grand symphonies on paper, but it will be interesting to see how these two compare in a back-to-back comparison. Taylor describes the grand pacific as having a more rounded tone compared to most Taylor models, whereas these new GS bodies are said to be “symphonic”. Whenever I do try these, I’ll have to report back, but for the sake of my wallet, I will resist ordering one of these until I actually try one. Must resist....
