Loudbox Artist for a 214ce Koa?

Hello Folks,

Having sold my electric guitars I'd like an amp that, as faithfully as possible, reproduces the acoustic tone of my new 214ce Koa. I only play at home.

My current set-up, inherited from my electric guitars, comprises a ZOOM G5n, which I use for looping (as a practice tool), and some old active speakers (I sold my electric amp). I can't get a decent tone out of this set-up.

My aim is to have an amp (I'm wedded to the idea of an amp, as opposed to new active speakers), for occasional 'immersive' sessions (I wouldn't use an amp all the time, but it's nice now and again) and a Ditto X2 looper. I could run the Ditto in front of the amp, or in an fx loop so I can take advantage of onboard effects (albeit, I'll only use them to a minimum). I'd like a headphones out, so I can play back my practice loops without the constant repetition annoying anyone else in the house.

If I compromise on the headphones and fx loop I'd buy a Loudbox Mini, but I could get the Artist (that's my maximum budget). Would you recommend one or the other, or an alternative? Suggestions welcome.

I have a Loudbox Artist and I only play at home.  I'm not much help because I honestly am not a great tone guy.  Too me there are two types of tones, either it sounds good or it does not and I try to adjust from there.  My 214ce k sounds nice through my Loudbox Artist.  I had the amp before I bought my Taylor but if I did not I would check out a powered speaker as I have heard time and time again that is a great way to amplify and even better if you want to use an effect or two. 

I also use a wireless system and it's a Line 6 Relay G10 and it works great.  If I was the type of person who played out I amy step up to a nicer system but as far as home playing goes, I have never had an issue with it.  Just for fun I bought a unit from a Chinese seller for around $40 and although it works fine and there is no latency at all something just seems off with the sound.  I know you did not ask for this info but just in case you ever consider wireless it may help.

Thanks Finley. I got a new LB Artist last night - about half price at auction on eBay. Just had a message to say it's on it's way, so it'll be a NAD tomorrow.

I did use the XVive wireless system with my electric guitars, but (and I know this is weird) I actually prefer an instrument cable. Maybe it's an umbilical chord substitute - got to be some deep reason behind it, other than just me be contrary!

Got the Loudbox Artist today and I really like it. Much, much, nicer than what I've been using (ZOOM G5n going into active speakers), so I'll ditch the ZOOM and buy a Ditto X2 looper.
