Awesome mini pins
« on: August 28, 2014, 03:39:36 PM »
Strumming Fool was kind enough to send me some end pins for my mini that he was not using. They look AWESOME. My husband and I both think they made the tone a little fuller and made it a tad louder too. Thanks, Bruce!

They are Bob Colosi bone pins dyed red with abalone dots - they do look awesome, Cindy! I'm glad you can hear a tonal difference too- that's been my experience as well.

Enjoy!

I think will get another set of these pins to go on one of my other guitars. They do look really nice and I am amazed at the improvement in tone.

Lizzy-

So sorry I called you Cindy in my post above - I must have been somewhat distracted when I wrote that post.  I felt obligated to correct the error, since you were kind enough to get my name right!

Just to make life harder by offering more choices,  ;), Luthiers Mercantile www.lmii.com also has a selection of pins in various materials.

There's not that many of us women here, you'd think it would be easy keeping us straight. ;)
Could be worse, when I was a kid, my folks would get my name and the dog's name mixed up.  :-\

Yeah, I went through that at home too - I was the youngest of five brothers - sometimes it took my mom four tries before getting my attention!
