528e balanced?

Since I got my 514e FLTD, I've been thinking very seriously about an all HOG 524, 526 or 528.
The HOG sound is something I'd never experienced and I'm just taken with it! I love the low end they produce, warm and rich!
The GA is my favorite body size, but the 528 keeps calling me! Yes...I keep looking at the pictures on the online retailers sites and drooling...

I've not played a 528, but I would assume it out-does the 524 in terms of low end.
But is it still balanced with the highs? My fear is that the low end would over power the highs on the GO body size.
I know a few of you have 528s and might be able to put some light on this for me.
Any input would be very helpful!

MB, from the all hog Taylors that I have played....they all seem to really retain that "Taylor" sparkle on the high ends.  The HOG models that I've tried really seem to be one of the most tonally balanced guitars that I've played from the Taylor line.  The body size alone will really add to the low end, while still retaining that solid mid-range that HOGS are known for.  The sound on the upper end really did sparkle.  They also weren't very "box-y" sounding unlike some other brand HOG guitars.

In the end....sooooooooo balanced.

Andy Powers' design concept was for the GO to be both powerful and extremely well balanced.  Hope to hear from some players as well.

I can't speak for the 528e, but when I test-drove a 918 a few months ago, I expected volume and bass, but the tonal balance on this guitar was truly exceptional. If it hadn't felt so large in my hands, I would have brought it home. I imagine that the GO's signature volume, bass and balance carry through all the various models...

congrats on the new guitar.

It is very balanced as have been mentioned. Plenty of powerful bass but not in the sense that it is overwhelming and "muddy" like some
other brands I have heard.

The highs are to me are exceptionally clear and clean. this is compared to a 214ce-K my son has, which is still relatively new, but i find at times can be harsh and somewhat "shrilly", if that's a word, but once opened will be a touch warmer.

Mids are also fantastic and hogs are known for this, so as jjr said, incredibly balanced.

congrats, MB.....HOG FEVER!!!!!    Yeah, I think if I was lookin' to pick one out for playing purely acoustically (no plugging in) the 528 would tempt we big time...I jumped on the 524 for playing through the Bose L1 along with music tracks.....and I like the light strings......for just the acoustic sound, I love the 528.....and may get one when the Bose days are over! Enjoy...and looking forward to a "report".....
