Hello from Alabama
« on: December 24, 2013, 10:18:32 AM »
Just bought a 210e after years of playing electric. I tried acoustic guitar before, but could never really connect with it. I am 49 and have three small children. I do not play out any longer and told my wife recently that I sort of lost the desire to play. I would maybe get 15 to 30 minutes in on the weekend. Plus the years of always trying knew gear....amps, pedals, etc really took its toll trying to always sound better. About three weeks ago I was playing a GS Mini and for the first time felt that connection to the instrument. I guess in part because 6 or 7 years ago I stopped using a pick completely so it all just felt right. This introduction is way too long, so what happened is I ended up with a 210e after trying (and returning) a few guitars. The 210e just spoke to me. I was trying all solid wood construction guitars too, from Taylor and other companies as well, but this particular one stood out. When I went to buy it the guy stayed in the back for quite a bit, and then returned with a 210e still in the box. I said I appreciate it but I want this one instead. He looked at me kinda weird, but maybe he wasn't a guitar player... ;D Anyway, the guitar sounds great and my passion for playing has returned. Merry Christmas to everyone and a public thank you to my wife for instigating this new "direction" in my playing!

I can definitely relate to  "I want that one!"  That's why I don't think I will ever be able to order a guitar I haven't played. Congrats on your new guitar. The 200 series is a lot of bang for your buck. Have a great Holiday too:)

Welcome NoPickNick...glad you found "your guitar" and having the desire to play return.  There is nothing like that feeling and the joy and peace it can bring.

I also am in Alabama not to far from Mo if you don't mind what part of the state are you in?
