Taylor 810 S??
« on: December 14, 2012, 11:36:35 PM »
I'm  in the market for another Taylor and ran across an 810 S on Craigslist that seems way underpriced.  I started digging around and can find very little on the 's' part.  Any insight? I've attached a pic that shows the model.

Thanks!

I would call Taylor with the serial number and ask them.
The 810-S was a limited edition guitar sold exclusively by Guitar Center in 1996.
Only 65 were made, so it is rare..   <-- Means very little to me

What wood combinations?   Probably Sitka Top

What inlays are on the fret board?

The Model you are looking at probably has the old "Artist" series inlay  (small, double ring sort of pattern).

Found this information on another forum...

Sent you a PM with other (Better) information...

the headstock inlay is from the artist series & the fretboard inlay is the 'S' -
here's a link to a 612cs

the artist series fretboard inlay
