Hello from Central Connecticut
« on: March 05, 2019, 01:18:57 PM »
Hello Taylor fans,
When I turned 50 I went looking for that D28 I had always promised myself.  Problem is, I could not find one that I liked to play.  Then I picked up a Taylor 510 and immediately fell in love.  Right now, I have an 813 and I am in love again ( I am 75 now).  I guess that makes me a serial romantic!  I play country, folk, blues, and even some show tunes, fingerpicking and flat picking styles.  The Taylor neck is insanely good for a 5-thumbed individual like me - fastest neck I ever had.  I love the tone palette when using moderate electric amplification,  lots of colors available.  I look forward to exchanging ideas with some of the folks on the site!  Cheers,  Chris

Hi SF,
Right you are, its an 814 ce.  I guess I'm a bit of a fool myself, I've been telling folks its an 813 for some while now.  Thanks for the correction.  Cheers, Chris

Hi S-F,
I think its about 5 or 6 years old now.  Its aging very nicely, although it sometimes still thinks its a tree...   Chris
