Taylor Sweepstakes
« on: February 13, 2015, 11:29:08 AM »
I just entered the sweepstakes for the new 614 that Taylor is offering on their website, and I'm curious if anyone on these boards has ever won one of the Taylor giveaways.

I entered the sweepstakes too.  Never won one myself; but being a student of Murphy, I'll probably win this one since I'm not too keen on the re-voiced 600 Series...  If I do win it, it'll probably go up for sale immediately...

Now I've entered, so the rest of you need not bother.      :P

(I've been entering various sweepstakes for many years, and never won anything, so don't worry too much).
Taylors:  424-LTD (all koa) and a 114ce that lives with friends in Alaska.  Low maintenance carbon fiber guitars are my "thing" these days, but I will always keep the koa 424.  Several ukulele and bass guitars too.
*Gone but not forgotten:  a 2001 414ce, 410, 354-LTD twelve string, 314-N, 416-LTD baritone, T5 Classic, 615ce, 2006 GS-K, 1996 (first year) Baby

Also done.  Never won something like this.  Just won a fine dinner for two at a local seafood restaurant.  So I have won "something".  Just not guitar related.

I'll definitely enter as I sold my one and only guitar and a Taylor to boot :(

The 1 3/4" nut width just killed my hand. I'll have to get a 1 11/16th nut width at some point.

All Kidding aside, I'm quite anxious to try the new 614ce,  win or lose. My 614 was my entry into the Taylor world and, frankly,  into the world of fine guitars.   (My Tacoma was a lovely shot in the dark accident back in 1999.  ).  I look forward to seeing /hearing the changes

Well, you could easily buy a BTO to your liking.  Not sure if winning a guitar will have the same impact as the lotto.

The great thing about this Sweepstake is that us Europeans are allowed to enter - in the past these things have been limited to America.

So, yup, we've entered.

We have a poor track record in winning, although we did win a Bose goodie bag of cool stuff in a draw on the Bose musicians forum a few years back.
