Hi from England
« on: June 21, 2014, 02:08:57 AM »
Hi everyone.
I'm mainly an electric playing, gigging musician and have been for many years.

Recently I've been using my seventies Yamaha FG335 a lot more (amazing tone by the way) and decided it was time to buy a good quality acoustic to use for duo work. I wanted something a little smaller to accompany the Yamaha and decided on a Big Baby Taylor.

I hope that you'll welcome me here as I know a lot of you use much more expensive Taylors.

I'm really happy with mine so far. Great tone, slim neck and very playable.

Welcome John. A Taylor is a Taylor. Doesn't matter what it cost. They are all quality guitars from a great company.

Thanks for the welcome.
My Big Baby is with my local luthier for a set up at the moment.
I'll take some pictures and post them up as soon as I have it back.

You'll notice that the strings on the above pictures look a little odd.
These were the pictures taken from the Ebay listing.
The guitar had been strung with electric guitar Fender 9s...!

This is one of the reasons that having strung it with phosphor bronze 12s, the guitar needs a bit of a set up.

I'll let you know how it is once my luthier has worked his magic.
