"Too Many Requests"

Not sure where to post this, but just to note in the last few months I get the above error message probably half the time I try to log in from my Mac desktop browser, Safari.

The rest of the error message reads "The user has sent too many requests in a given amount of time." This puzzles me as I only click once on the bookmark.

Likely there's a setting in Safari I've changed but have no idea what I might have done. Any help or thoughts?

My guess is bandwidth manipulation. At certain times, business bandwidth is given a high priority and may hog up the stream. To allow for that, they have to cut bandwidth somewhere. (Business internet is more expensive, which internet services will prioritize.)

That's as good a guess as any, but to counter, this is the only forum site this happens to me on. Telecaster, AGF, Larrivee, Strat Forum sites all open without any type of error message. Plus the error text is a bit opaque as to whether the site is getting too many requests from the entire internet or the site thinks I'm clicking more than an acceptable number when I'm only clicking once . . .

I posted also to see if anyone else has the issue.

I do have periodic issues with Safari taking a while to open a web page so I'll try this site with Firefox and see if I still get that message

Still happens a lot. Not sure if it's on some kind of cycle, but yes, this is the only site with which I have this issue.

My thought as well, but server issues are over my pay grade.

When I access the site, I only click once when I get the error message, so I don't understand how I'm making "Too Many Requests" or how it as being caused on my end . . .
