Looks cool!

Then again, I'd have to have one in each guit, right?  I have a handful of Snarks that I keep everywhere for very little dough ...little mavens, these.  Still, I'd be interested in hearing a review if anyone here grabs one!

Edward

Ya love my Snark (SN-02) as well. Great display and functionality. Reasonable too. Collected a few over time (pre-Snark)- they all have some small thing that could have been better re size, rotation, accuracy etc.  My first was a no-name  JT-11 less than ten bucks on ebay!  Still works well. Also have Korg Pitch Clip - good but doesn't rotate.  Also a Korg DT04 tabletop tuner - nice- very handy. The one I like the least is the Planet Wave mini ; the clip on/off is weird and frustrating - its not a spring but a plastic unintuitive squeeze pressure thing - its a royal pain. its okay I suppose if you plan leave it on all time. I have not seen or tried to "micro" version. Finally when plugged-in, I use a Korg DTR2000 rackmount. So o shortage of tuners.

But with my new Taylor, grabbing a clip-on is no big deal, but I don't want to keep a clip-on there permanently, so the soundhole tuners looked interesting

The reviews look good on Amazon on Musician Friends.

Also just learned of the Wittman Mini Tuner mentioned earlier, http://www.wittman-spins.com/tunersMiniTuner.html, but there is not a lot of info on it. Cant really tell how it mounts.

But these soundhole tuners, while a great idea,  seem to be priced a little high. I'll stick with current inventory for now :)

Here's another soundhole mounted tuner. A little rich for my blood.

For the $, as long as it's accurate, I don't see anything wrong with a clip-on.

I like the design of the Mini better than the Micro.

I've been using the Micro for about two months now, and am VERY pleased both with its minimalism and its performance. Better than my Snark and Tune-Tech units. From the front:

For some reason, unlike other manufacturers, the Taylor electronics package doesn't include a onboard chromatic tuner - not a big deal in the scheme of things - but it would have been real convenient to include it (I dont always remember to grab the clip-on) and its a much cleaner look to have it built-in ; clipping a $XX plastic tuner on a $XXXX guitar seems wrong!!

One clean solution I have seen is the Shadow sound hole tuner. Consistently good reviews on amazon, mf, etc.

Are there other similar products?

edited for price

Says it uses a microphone. I think that would be problematic in a live (loud) setting and with guitars with lots of resonances.

This tuner uses velcro to stay put inside the sound hole. Wouldn't that hurt the resonance of the top as well as from hole itself since the tuner seems to obstruct sound waves coming out of the hole? Just an observation I made. I would like to hear from the owners of this tuner.

Ahhhhh, uses a mic ...that's a deal killer for me.  Good "pickup," Marty! ;)

That's a really low-profile tuner you have there ...I like it.  FWIW, I use my snarks with the display behind the headstock so it looks less "weird" for lack of a better term.  Yours looks great ...if I didn't already have several snarks I'd look into this one.

Yup, thats not great. Wonder though if it matters in that its in the more enclosed soundhole (vs more open at the headstock) and thus a non-issue? None of the reviews cite a problem. Still, I think its too pricey anyway.

I thought that's where they're supposed to go! All of mine are on the back, where I can see them, but the audience can't. Then, when the guitar goes into its case, the tuner fits into the space below the headstock. After playing guitar for 40 years, I have finally stopped searching for my guitar tuner! (Of course, years ago, it was a little pitchpipe!)

We used to regularly use the telephone dial tone!
;D Just curious, MM, what note was it?

I'm in the same boat (pun intended, Captain Jim) as those who used to use tuning forks and pitch pipes. I do like my Snarks, now, and my gStrings app works really well, too.
