Tough choice. I'm a mahogany fan from way back, while rosewood has not made a lasting, positive impression. I voted for ovangkol, because I believe it's probably the most versatile. It's also visually mesmerizing. Here's my BTO with ovangkol:

My Taylor Grand Auditoriums:

1997 Cujo14 - old growth cedar/black walnut
2014 K24e - master grade koa
2018 Custom GA - bear claw sitka spruce/mahogany
2019 614 - torrified sitka spruce/flamed maple
2020 714 - lutz spruce/rosewood

When I consider your poll I had think about the guitars I have in that list of tonewoods a 514ce, 814ce, and  714ce.  Well I choose the 814 because it probably would be a more all round guitar.  I will tell you though I would sorely miss my Hog more than any of my other non chosen guitars.

I'm going to go with sapele on the basis of my latest acquisition - a GC3. This guitar has the sweetest ring and sustain of any Taylor I've played or owned. It's actually a lot sweeter than a previous GC3e I used to own, which testifies to the wisdom that models even within a series may vary noticeably.

That's got to be one of the most gorgeous backs I've seen!     :)

Thanks! Ovangkol's days of being underrated are numbered IMO...

For the price, sapele. The 210s/310s/DN3s have always been -- in my opinion -- the best bang for the buck in the Taylor lineup.

But if I were getting a Taylor with one of the "standard" tonewoods, I'd probably go with rosewood, even though I tend to prefer mahogany in other brands like Martin and Gibson.

looks standard (not limited) to me

cocobolo also
http://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars/acoustic/series/presentation
the standard series isn't limited to the 300-900s, but
perhaps the others make things a little too 'complex' ???
too few choices may  skew the results (especially with no 'other' option), imho
