Taylor's New Website - searches
« on: March 23, 2012, 04:48:40 PM »
I wanted to say thank you to Shannon and his crew - I was just at the website and although the main page menu still loads in the middle of the page...........I was able to search the Road Shows by zip code (two days ago I had to page thru 13 pages) and as I browsed thru other parts I found it easier to navigate.

So, I posted this topic separate just so it would stand out to you.  Since I have been one to give you "feedback" in the past I wanted to give you kudos right now.  Thanks to you and the team for your continued hard work.

Ok, so....please move the menu on the main page to the top..... :D

I just watched this TED talk about how we make choices and it reminded me of the recent frustrations some have posted regarding the new Taylor website. I think this is very appropriate and helpful. I then went and looked today at the Taylor Home page, and got frustrated, yes I can find my way through but if I didn't know anything about Taylor guitars, where would I start. Of course personal thinking characteristics would answer that question differently.
Here's the talk: http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/en/sheena_iyengar_choosing_what_to_choose.html

Outstanding improvement.  I, too, had gone looking for the 2012 events and had to go through lots of pages.  I just tried it again with the enhancement and it works great.  I've never been to any Taylor event, and it is a "must do" this year, esp. now that I've already bought a Taylor!

Thanks for letting us know about this.

Definitely go to a Road Show if you can - I have been to 2 and really enjoyed them, one in Florida and one in Virginia.  I learned so much about the woods and sizes of course AFTER I bought my first Taylor.  Oh well, since I'm certain there are more in my future it's nice to have the knowledge.  I'd like to go to a "find your fit" this year, I like the GC size but keep ending up with the GS.

I noticed too the attitude of treating the customer well is pervasive with Taylor.  As we all can attest they have very good customer service and at both Shows the 2 reps (different at each show) there were exceptional, even when a competitor was mentioned they talked about how good the competitor's guitars were too...LOL of course, Taylor is preferable  ::) ......

I emailed Taylor after one of the RS to let them know how much I enjoyed it and less than a day later I got an email back thanking me for the input and glad I had a good time.  When does that happen anymore?
